2021 Back 9 Endurance Run
The 2021 Back 9 Endurance Run went off without a hitch! The weather was perfect, and even the bugs left us alone (for the most part)!
The race is a 3.5 mile loop around the Lodge property, that runners choose to run for 12 or 24 hours. In that time, they run as many laps as they can. Each lap started and ended at the gazebo, where runners would record their time for that lap, and then either head out for another or X out on the board and call it a race!
The 12 hour solo had 10 runners, with Kate McCloud taking first place with 16 laps, and a total of 57.6 miles.
The 24 hour solo had 3 brave runners, Janelle Gomez ran 20 laps, for a total of 72 miles taking first place.
There was one 12 hour 2 person team that ran 14 laps, for 50.4 miles.
There was one 12 Hour 4 person team that ran 13 laps, 46.8 miles.
Three 4 person teams took on the 24 hours, with the winning team running 29 laps for a total of 104.4 miles.
It was so great to see so many runners meeting and exceeding their goals, running their farthest distance yet, cheering each other on, and having fun.
We are already looking forward to 2022, hope you are there to join us!
