The Back 9 Endurance Run is just around the corner so here’s a few ideas to help you prepare and stay focused:

Some items that would be a useful part of your gear list might include a headlamp (red lenses are the best for preserving night vision), and a portable hydration source such as a water bottle hip pack or a camelbak.

Think about your health. It is easy to succumb to the winter blues around this time of year. In March, in some places there is still snow on the ground (at least in the Keweenaw). However, That should not stop you from getting out and about. Get out and ski, skate, walk, and snowshoe whenever you can (I know I am; I skied the 2023 Great Bear Chase — read the blog for your enjoyment).
Runners will be able to pick up their race bib, t-shirt, and course map beginning on May 26th from 4 PM-6 PM in the Little Cabin Cafe at the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge.
